We think of ourselves as experimental chefs, who pick out exceptional ingredients and let them shine through captivating concepts, all while upholding the highest quality and thus achieving the perfect balance. And, we don’t mind the work. Because at the end of the day, we just want to leave a mark as bright as a comet streaking across the night sky.

OUR STORY

The Big Bang Theory created the universe, leading to the Great Monotony. Planets found their orbits. The moon, the sun, the stars, everything fell into a pattern.

But beyond all of this, things get more interesting.

At the edges of the solar system exist comets, balls of ice and dust, following distant paths around the sun. And then every once in a while, the gravity of another celestial body pulls one away. It no longer follows the path set by the rest. It cuts through, travelling closer to the sun on its own terms, breaking the pattern that defines everything else up there.

That’s what disruption looks like at the grandest scale. That’s the brief streak of light in an otherwise static, monotonous sky. And for centuries, people have looked up, and stared in awe.

Two space nerds were pulled by that same gravity. And that became Comet.

The name, the shooting star logo, all of it points to the same idea. Some people follow paths. Some people cut through and break the pattern.

FOUNDER'S NOTE

We spent years in the corporate world, Chicago and Boston, building careers that looked great on paper. Sneaker culture was all around us, exciting and intriguing to see. But the more we lived inside it, the more foreign it felt. It always felt like someone else’s story, and we wanted something that felt like ours, something more relatable.

We came back to India, saw the gap, and decided to fill it ourselves.

We founded Comet in 2023 purely out of passion. We did not set out to just make sneakers. We set out to build a homegrown brand where the product speaks for itself, where design, quality, craftsmanship, and storytelling are held to a standard we refuse to compromise on.

This is where we create culture, work with people who care about the details as deeply as we do, and build something India has never quite seen before.
